The state’s gaming revenue for February 2025 was $484.4 million, according to the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE). This is a 5.1% increase from the previous year, mostly due to robust growth in sports betting and iGaming.
The casino win fell 3.8% to $203.5 million, while iGaming income increased 14% to $207.8 million. With $49.9 million, Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa was the casino industry leader. Hard Rock Atlantic City came in second with $41.9 million. Despite the decline in casino wins, iGaming continued to generate a significant amount of revenue, which is indicative of its ongoing expansion in the gaming industry in New Jersey.
Golden Nugget Atlantic City led in the iGaming category, generating $60.1 million. Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa and Resorts Casino Hotel followed, reporting $51.5 million and $48.8 million, respectively. Year-to-date (YTD) iGaming revenue increased by 17.4% to $429.4 million, underscoring the sustained digital gaming momentum.
Sports Wagering Gains Amid Challenges
Revenue from sports betting in New Jersey increased by 8.9% to $73.6 million in February 2025. With about $33.9 million, the New Meadowlands Racetrack, home of a FanDuel sportsbook, made a substantial contribution.
In collaboration with DraftKings and ESPN Bet, Resorts Casino Hotel generated $21.8 million in income from sports betting. Of the amount, $20.3 million came from DraftKings. Sports betting revenue, however, dropped 17.9% year-to-date to $195.8 million, indicating certain difficulties in the industry.
The state’s total gaming revenue for the year-to-date period climbed 1.8% to $1.04 billion, despite drops in casino win and sports wagering revenue. This expansion demonstrates how resilient the iGaming industry is, continuing to make up for the shortcomings of other sectors.
As operators adapt to the evolving market landscape, digital gaming’s role in maintaining New Jersey’s gaming revenue remains crucial.
