According to the Missouri Gaming Commission’s (MGC) February 2025 revenue report, the 13 gaming venues in the state had a 5% decrease in adjusted gross revenue (AGR) over the previous year. Only Century Casino Caruthersville, Century Casino Cape, and River City Casino saw positive growth, with total earnings reaching $149.3 million.
Leading the winners was Century Casino Caruthersville, which reported a 10% rise in revenue from the prior year, bringing in $4.5 million. River City Casino saw a 6% increase in revenue to $21.6 million, while Century Casino Cape saw a 2% increase to $5.9 million.
The majority of other casinos, however, reported declines in revenue. The biggest drop was at Mark Twain Casino, which had a 23% year-over-year drop to $2.4 million.
Slots Dominate, Table Games Show Growth
Despite a 6% decline in revenue from slot machines, they still accounted for $127.1 million of Missouri’s total AGR in February. Century Casino Caruthersville was the only casino to see slot revenue growth, increasing 10% to $4.2 million.
Table games, however, showed a 4% year-over-year increase, generating $22.2 million in revenue. Ameristar St. Charles led in table game earnings, bringing in $4.1 million, though this reflected a 1% decline from last year.
Ameristar St. Charles also remained Missouri’s highest-grossing casino, reporting $23.3 million in total AGR, despite a 3% drop from the previous year.
Other notable properties included Hollywood Casino St. Louis, which earned $19 million but saw an 8% decline, and Ameristar Kansas City, which generated $15 million but fell 11% year-over-year. Harrah’s Kansas City brought in $13.1 million, posting a 4% decline.
While most casinos struggled, the gains at Century Casino Caruthersville, Century Casino Cape, and River City Casino suggest that certain properties are finding ways to grow despite overall market challenges.
