APT Taipei 2025 is set to bring one of the largest poker festivals to Taiwan, running from April 25 to May 4 at Red Space. Sponsored by Natural8, the series promises an extensive lineup of 126 events and a total guaranteed prize pool exceeding TWD 126 million (~USD 5.4 million).
The Main Event remains the biggest draw, with a TWD 55,000 (~USD 1,680) buy-in and a TWD 70 million (~USD 2.1 million) guarantee. Following record-breaking numbers in Manila earlier this year, expectations are high for Taipei to deliver another massive turnout.
APT Taipei 2025 moves to Red Space, a new venue designed to accommodate a growing poker crowd. The festival’s expanded structure includes over 100 tables, offering more flexibility for high-stakes action and mixed-game tournaments.
The high-roller lineup sees major additions, with tournaments like the Superstar Challenge, Baby Superstar, and APT Super High Roller running alongside three newly introduced high-roller events in Pot-Limit Omaha, 9-Game, and a Women’s High Roller.
Following the introduction of daily Women’s Events at APT Manila, Taipei will feature a similar schedule. The Women’s Main Event, with a TWD 20,000 (~USD 610) buy-in, provides a pathway to the Women’s Championship Event in November, where the winner will claim a seat worth TWD 35,000 (~USD 1,068).
The festival will cater to mixed-game players with 38 events, including new formats like Stairway to Seven, Cry Me A River, Archie, and Drawmaha 2-7. The Masters Event series will introduce Dealer’s Choice, allowing players to pick from multiple game types. Pot-Limit Omaha and Big-O will now feature Double Board Bomb Pot formats, adding variety for players who enjoy non-traditional formats.
With increased prize pools, more tournaments, and a new venue designed for large-scale poker events, APT Taipei 2025 is expected to draw players from across Asia and beyond. The festival offers buy-ins ranging from TWD 11K (~USD 336) to TWD 800K (~USD 24,424), catering to both recreational players and high rollers.
