Delta Air Lines has taken a major step in revolutionizing air travel entertainment by unveiling free, fast WiFi and an exciting new collaboration with DraftKings. This partnership, announced last month, promises to bring a range of free gaming options to passengers later this year.

SkyMiles members will be able to enjoy “free gaming as an additional offering” through Delta’s advanced Sync Wi-Fi. These games will be accessible via passengers’ personal devices during their flights, providing a new dimension to in-flight entertainment.
Delta’s partnership with DraftKings is set to expand the airline’s existing free-to-play options, such as blackjack and other casino games, which will soon be available on seatback screens. The addition of DraftKings-branded games will enhance the experience, offering more interactive and engaging entertainment throughout the flight.
Delta plans to roll out other exciting features, such as free-to-play prediction games for sports. There is even potential for a reward system where passengers could earn coins or points during their flights.
However, Delta has emphasized that real-money gambling or wagering with miles on board is not part of the current offering. “We will not make offerings available in violation of Federal, State or local laws,” the airline assured.
Delta CEO Ed Bastian expressed his excitement over the partnership, stating, “From fantasy sports to online adventures, gaming has become a regular part of the daily lives for millions of our customers and you shouldn’t have to hit pause just because you’re in the skies.”
Bastian also acknowledged the expertise that DraftKings brings to the table, adding, “Our partnership with DraftKings will build on the games portfolio that we already offer today via Delta Sync and our seatback screens while using the deep expertise (DraftKings CEO) Jason (Robins) and his team have developed over the past decade.”
