On February 6, the Seminole Brighton Bay Hotel & Casino will celebrate its grand opening with a private ceremony and a performance by the legendary rock group Lynyrd Skynyrd. After the ceremony, guests can visit the property, and on January 17, concert tickets go on sale.
A Milestone for the Region
Marty Johns, General Manager of Seminole Brighton Bay Hotel & Casino, expressed his enthusiasm: “We are all eagerly awaiting our official opening on February 6. It will be such a special moment for the Seminole Tribe of Florida, the Brighton Seminole Reservation, and the entire region. This new resort is expected to increase the number of tourists to the area, which is especially important. We are excited to offer a new level of gaming, dining and entertainment.”
The new casino will replace the Seminole Casino Brighton, which has served the community since 1980. Located west of Lake Okeechobee on the Brighton Seminole Reservation, the property marks a significant upgrade, both in scale and offerings.
Spanning nearly 38,000 square feet, the casino will house 640 slot machines and 18 table games, including blackjack, craps, and roulette. For added convenience, a smoke-free gaming area will feature 104 slot machines, while high rollers can enjoy 42 slot machines and four table games in an exclusive section.
The resort will also debut the first hotel on the Brighton Seminole Reservation, enhancing its appeal as a tourist destination. Beyond gaming, the property is poised to become a key employer in the Lake Okeechobee region. With over 500 team members already on board, recruitment efforts are ongoing to fill the remaining positions before the grand opening.
As the latest addition to the Seminole Tribe of Florida’s portfolio of six casinos, the Seminole Brighton Bay Hotel & Casino symbolizes growth and innovation. It aims to attract more visitors to the area while delivering top-tier gaming, entertainment, and hospitality experiences.
