Borgata Hotel & Casino, in partnership with BetMGM Poker, has announced the highly anticipated return of the Borgata Winter Poker Open (BWPO). Set to run from January 2-17, 2025, the series promises to be bigger and better than ever, featuring a $5 million guaranteed grand prize pool. With a jam-packed schedule and exciting new additions, poker enthusiasts can look forward to an unforgettable event.
An Expanded Lineup of Events
This year’s BWPO will offer a total of 32 main events, 26 secondary events, and five anchor events. The introduction of several new events adds a fresh twist to the already popular series. Among the highlights are 11 live stream events, including the $100,000 BetMGM Online Hybrid Championship and the debut of the BetMGM Big League Live Stream Event. Other fan-favorites like the 10-10 PLO Live Stream and the Ladies Pink Chip Live Stream will also return, bringing a blend of excitement for both spectators and players.
In addition, the Mixed Event Mini-Series has expanded, now featuring 10 events, including the innovative B.E.A.S.T. Mix. This new format introduces Triple Draw rounds alongside Stud, giving players a unique challenge to showcase their skills.
A significant new feature for the 2025 BWPO is the BWPO Leaderboard, which offers a $50,000 prize pool. The leaderboard will reward the top 10 players based on their performance in terms of buy-ins, field sizes, and cashes. This addition creates a dynamic and competitive environment, motivating players to aim for top rankings throughout the event series.
The five anchor events will be the cornerstone of the festival. These include the $600 Kick-Off, the $1,250 Mirror Mystery Bounty, the $400 Almighty Million, the $3,500 Borgata Winter Poker Open Championship, and the new $570 Monster Mirror Mystery Bounty. Additionally, a special $10,000 High Roller Experience will be offered, featuring exclusive perks for those who opt into the package.
