Operations Manager Ivonne Montealgre has announced two significant stops for 2025: Brazil and Malta, demonstrating the SiGMA Poker Tour’s continued push to push boundaries. Montealgre also announced the first-ever Hendon Mob Latam Championships (THMC Latam), which will make its debut during the Brazil leg, during a press conference to kick off the tour.
Aiming to Redefine Competitive Poker
Montealgre shared her enthusiasm for the tour’s potential, saying, “I’ve been a fan of this company for 10 years, to now be part of that group is thrilling. We’re bringing the tour to the next level and putting it on the poker map.”
The SiGMA Poker Tour aims to bring players of all levels and backgrounds together in high-stakes tournaments across global cities. It also seeks to merge poker with networking, business, and charitable giving, creating a well-rounded platform for participants.
Roland Boothby, Head of Partnerships at GPI/The Hendon Mob, praised the strategic partnership with SiGMA, emphasizing its significance. “Brazil is booming when it comes to poker,” Boothby stated. “Brazilian players are known for being the most fun to play with. The market is at the start of its journey, and SiGMA has unique potential to connect events and networking to the poker community.”
The Hendon Mob Championships will extend to five continents in 2025, with the Brazil and Malta stops serving as vital milestones. Boothby highlighted the importance of bringing new players into the poker scene, noting SiGMA’s success in the B2B industry as a strong foundation for venturing into B2C markets.
Eman Pulis, founder of SiGMA Group, emphasized the tour’s commitment to community impact through the SiGMA Foundation. For every main stop, a percentage of buy-ins from designated side events will fund local charitable initiatives. “We want to merge charity outreach with our exhibitors,” Pulis explained.
Echoing this sentiment, CEO Emily Micallef said, “Poker players are pro consumers—giving them access to the SiGMA platform is something that every player has been craving.”
The tour will offer a dynamic blend of poker, business, and leisure while ensuring each event leaves a meaningful legacy. The conference concluded with a networking session, giving attendees insights into the tour’s vision.
