Kansas Sports Betting Reaches $275.9 Million in October

Kansas players wagered a total of $275.9 million on sports in October, according to the latest report from the Kansas Lottery. The state’s sports betting handle continues to grow, with retail and online bets contributing to the monthly total.

Retail sports betting accounted for $9.6 million of October’s total handle, while online wagers brought in the remaining $266.3 million. Operators reported $4.9 million in revenue for the month, with the state collecting over $498,000 in taxes from sports betting activity.

Hollywood Casino, partnering with Barstool and ESPN Bet, led the retail betting category. It recorded $6.9 million in wagers at its on-site sportsbook. Other retail leaders included FanDuel at Kansas Star, which brought in $1.5 million, and Caesars at Kansas Cross, which collected $700,000 in wagers.

In the online space, DraftKings stood out as the top performer. Partnering with Boot Hill Casino, DraftKings generated nearly $123 million in online wagers in October. FanDuel and BetMGM followed, with online handles of $84.9 million and $22.9 million, respectively.

For the year so far, Kansas players have wagered $793 million on sports. Operators have reported $39 million in revenue, while the state has collected $3.9 million in taxes during the fiscal year.
