Following approval at a recent shareholder meeting on September 23, 2024, Gentoo Media Inc. (previously Gaming Innovation Group Inc.) has formally rebranded in a calculated move. The company’s attempts to focus on certain business segments and streamline processes are reflected in this change.
Following the name change, Gentoo Media will begin trading on September 25, 2024, on the Oslo Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol G2MNO and on Nasdaq Stockholm under the symbol G2M. By retaining investor access, this dual-listing guarantees the company’s visibility in important marketplaces.
Platform and Media Divisions to Operate Separately
The rebranding is part of a larger restructuring plan that involves splitting the company’s media and platform divisions. The legal separation is scheduled for completion on 30 September 2024, with the platform and sportsbook division operating independently as GiG Software PLC. This newly formed entity will be listed on Nasdaq First North Premier Growth Market, with trading set to begin on 1 October 2024.
This transition marks a significant step for the company, allowing both divisions to operate independently and target their respective growth strategies. The move is expected to enhance operational efficiency and deliver stronger returns for shareholders.
