The acquisition of Tel Aviv-based mobile gaming startup SuperPlay by Playtika Holding Corp. for $700 million has been officially announced. Plus, if SuperPlay hits certain financial goals over the next three years, the deal could contain up to an extra $1.25 billion. SuperPlay was established in 2019 by Elad Drory, an industry expert, and Gilad Almog and Eyal Netzer, former employees of Playtika. The company has rapidly become well-known in the gaming world. The studio has released two well-liked games: the well-liked board game Domino Dreams and the quickly expanding coin-looter game Dice Dreams. In August of 2024, the aggregate number of average daily active users for both titles was 1.7 million, demonstrating their exponential growth.
SuperPlay, led by its creators Gilad and Eyal, will carry on as an independent studio within Playtika following the completion of the transaction.
