The PokerStars North American Poker Tour (NAPT) is set to return to Resorts World Las Vegas this fall, bringing back its popular tournament series from November 1-10, 2024. This marks the second consecutive year the NAPT will be hosted at Resorts World, following its successful revival last year after a decade-long hiatus.
The 2023 NAPT event at Resorts World Las Vegas drew nearly 3,200 participants across 17 events, with total prize money reaching over $4.2 million. Organizers are excited to build on that success with an expanded schedule and higher stakes this year.
Leon Wheeler, Director of Poker Operations for Resorts World Las Vegas, shared his enthusiasm: “Resorts World Las Vegas is thrilled to announce the highly anticipated return of PokerStars and the NAPT this November. After last year’s tremendous success, we are eager to capitalize on that momentum and host an even more spectacular festival in 2024.”
The main event in 2023 featured a $1,650 buy-in and drew 1,095 entries, surpassing the $1.5 million guarantee to create a prize pool of $1,609,650. Sami Bechahed emerged victorious, taking home the trophy and $268,945.
This year, the main event will have a larger $5,300 buy-in, attracting top players and offering even bigger prizes. Other events on the schedule include a $550 buy-in mystery bounty kickoff with a $300,000 guarantee, a $1,100 no-limit hold’em tournament with a $400,000 guarantee, and a $300,000 guaranteed no-limit freezeout. Buy-ins will range from as low as $250 to as high as $10,000, with some expected to go up to $25,000.
Steve Preiss, Vice President of PokerStars North America, highlighted the ambition for this year’s series: “Last year, the NAPT smashed all expectations, so this year, we’re going even bigger. With a premier partner like Resorts World Las Vegas, we’re stepping up our game: bigger tournaments, buy-ins, and player-focused events.”
The 2024 NAPT at Resorts World Las Vegas promises an action-packed schedule with diverse buy-ins and guaranteed prize pools, making it a key event on the poker calendar this fall.
