Stake obtained a license to operate a sportsbook and casino, allowing them to formally join the Peruvian market. This is a big milestone for Stake’s Latin American development as it gives gamers in Peru access to sports, casino, and esports betting via the Stake.pe platform.
As part of its launch in Peru, Stake has appointed Jennyfer Escobar as the Country Manager, alongside a team of other experienced women. This group will spearhead Stake’s strategy in Latin America, focusing on growth and innovation. Escobar expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “I am thrilled to join team Stake and help to guide efforts in Peru. The Peruvian market has significant growth potential and we look forward to engaging even further with the region. I’m excited to continue contributing to the dynamic world of gaming in Peru and to drive innovation in this evolving industry.”
Escobar brings nearly a decade of experience to her new role. Her background includes over six years as Marketing Manager for Inkabet, as well as leadership positions at Gothia Consultores, BoyleSports, and Easygo, a service provider closely associated with Stake.
Expansion into Latin America Continues
This launch in Peru follows Stake’s recent entry into the Colombian market, operated by Easygo. The move is part of Stake’s broader strategy to expand its presence in Latin America, particularly after the legalization of sports betting and iGaming in Colombia earlier this year.
Diana Otalora, Stake’s General Manager for Latin America, commented, “We are delighted to bring Stake to Peru, a country that has a lot of potential for digital growth, which has been evident in recent years. This shows our ambition to provide world-class entertainment to Peruvian customers and to expand our reach in LatAm.”
