Saracen Casino Resort’s Expansion Expected to Finish in Fall 2025

The Quapaw Nation, owners of the Saracen Casino Resort in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, announced plans to expand the property with a new hotel and event center. Scheduled to open in the fall of 2025, the expansion will add 400,000 square feet to the existing casino, including a 320-room hotel and a 1,600-seat event center.

This $250 million project will bring the Quapaw Nation’s total investment in Arkansas to over $500 million. Wena Supernaw, Chair of the Quapaw Nation Business Committee, highlighted the cultural significance of this development, stating, “We love Arkansas, it is an important part of our ancestral homeland. For the Quapaw Nation to return with something so big and visible is a source of great pride.”

The Saracen Casino Resort, which opened in October 2020, currently features 1,700 slot machines, 40 table games, the BetSaracen sportsbook, and Arkansas’ only poker room.

Setting a New Regional Standard

Saracen Casino Resort General Manager Matt Harkness emphasized the success of the casino since its opening, noting that “Saracen’s positive results since opening over four years ago have put us in a position to build this hotel and event center that will set a new standard in the region.” Harkness credited the hard work of Saracen employees and the guidance of the Quapaw Nation’s leadership for making this next phase possible.

CFO Jim Burns echoed the sentiment, adding that the expansion will provide “continued diversification of our offerings, thereby improving the financial strength of our operations.”
