The 2024 edition of iGB L!VE kicked off today, July 17, marking the last time the event will be held in Amsterdam before moving to London in 2025. This year’s event is the largest on record, reflecting a significant increase in global interest.
iGB L!VE 2024 has seen a 40% rise in registrations compared to the previous year, with industry professionals from 121 countries gathering in Amsterdam. Attendees have access to over 300 exhibitors and sponsors spread across more than 21,000 square meters, a 35% increase from 2023.
Diverse and Dynamic Conference Program
The conference program features over 50 speakers across 21 sessions, focusing on four main themes: Markets and Convergence, Player Engagement, Building for the Future, and Protecting Your Business. Highlights include a live masterclass on engaging players in top online casino markets, innovations in slot game design, strategies for navigating cyber threats post-attack, and the impact of ESG on M&A valuations. Additional sessions cover topics like parasite SEO, search bar optimization, and affiliate strategies for player protection.
Michel Groothuizen, the new chair of the Dutch regulator Kansspelautoriteit (KSA), opened the event with his first address to an international iGaming audience since his appointment on July 1. Following this, Sam Sadi, CEO of LiveScore Group, delivered a keynote on driving growth through media partnerships and convergence. Sadi’s extensive experience in sports media and betting provided valuable insights for attendees.
This year’s iGB L!VE introduces several new initiatives. The ASCEND Women & Allyship Meet-Up is a year-round mentoring and leadership program aimed at supporting women early in their gaming careers. Additionally, the iGB LaunchPad offers a platform for five innovative start-up businesses to showcase their ideas. The event also features the first Sustainable Gambling Zone, highlighting the latest industry approaches to safer gambling.
