International Game Technology (IGT) has announced a significant contract extension with the Colorado Lottery. IGT Global Solutions Corporation, a subsidiary of IGT, will continue its partnership with the Colorado Lottery for another seven years, with the contract running through July 12, 2032. This deal also includes seven optional one-year extensions.
Under the new agreement, the Colorado Lottery will transition to IGT’s advanced Aurora central system, replacing the current lottery central system. Aurora is a component of IGT’s OMNIA integrated lottery solution. This upgrade aims to provide the Colorado Lottery with comprehensive insights through a unified player view, enhancing the product portfolio and improving marketing communications. The system promises an omnichannel experience for Colorado Lottery players, integrating retail and mobile interactions seamlessly.
“IGT is thrilled to continue working with the Colorado Lottery and delivering high-performing products that will contribute to growing its business,” said Jay Gendron, IGT COO of Global Lottery. He added, “OMNIA, along with the upgrades to retailer equipment and new mobile convenience app, will provide the Lottery with actionable data and tools to manage daily operations and offer players enhanced retail and mobile experiences.”
Enhanced Player Experience and Retailer Upgrades
In addition to the new central system, IGT will upgrade all lottery retailer equipment across Colorado. A new mobile convenience app featuring Scan and Redeem functionality will also be introduced. This feature will allow players to scan draw-based or instant scratch tickets with their mobile app and redeem winnings directly into their linked bank accounts via automated clearing house (ACH) transfers.
Colorado Lottery Director Tom Seaver expressed enthusiasm for the upgrades, stating, “We are looking forward to replacing our current equipment with IGT’s most advanced technology, providing more convenient options for players and achieving continued sales growth and funding Colorado’s great outdoors.”
IGT is a dominant technology provider in the lottery industry, serving 26 of the 46 lotteries in the United States and eight of the world’s 10 largest lotteries. This extensive experience underscores IGT’s capability to deliver cutting-edge solutions and support the growth and success of its lottery partners.
