Scott Seiver Wins Third WSOP Bracelet of 2024

Scott Seiver secured his third World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet of 2024 on June 30, achieving a major milestone in his career. The Las Vegas-based poker professional won Event#72, the $10,000 no-limit deuce-to-seven single draw lowball championship. This victory not only added a seventh bracelet to his collection but also earned him $411,041, pushing his career earnings beyond $26.8 million.

The tournament attracted 186 participants, generating a prize pool of $1,729,800. The top 28 finishers shared this pool, with several prominent players making deep runs. Notable names included five-time bracelet winner Yuri Dzivielevski (17th), seven-time bracelet winner Billy Baxter (14th), six-time bracelet winner Jason Mercier (9th), six-time bracelet winner Robert Mizrachi (8th), Jennifer Harman (5th), and Jeremy Ausmus (th).

Seiver’s achievement places him among an elite group of poker players who have won three bracelets in a single year. He joins legends like Puggy Pearson (1973), Phil Hellmuth (1993), Ted Forrest (1993), Phil Ivey (2002), Jeffrey Lisandro (2009), and George Danzer (2014). Seiver is the first to reach this milestone in nearly a decade. This latest win also propels Seiver into an exclusive club of just 11 players with seven or more career bracelets.

Reflecting on his victory, Seiver said, “I mean, I’m on cloud nine right now. I couldn’t be more excited. I thought I would do big things this summer, but I mean obviously you can never dream something like this. But, I think I’m going to get more. I really do.”

Seiver’s recent success follows his second bracelet win earlier this summer. He mentioned that his upcoming eligibility for the Poker Hall of Fame, as he turns 40 next year, has driven him to focus intensely on the WSOP Player of the Year race. His first win of the 2024 series was in Event#10.
