Seminole Brighton Bay Hotel and Casino Celebrates “Topping Out” Ceremony

With the “Topping Out” ceremony for its new Seminole Brighton Bay Hotel and Casino, the Brighton Seminole Reservation has hailed a major milestone. The almost 38,000 square foot casino on this new location will have 640 slot machines in addition to 18 tables for card games including roulette, blackjack, and craps.

The last steel beam was raised to the top of the structure by members of the construction crew in a symbolic act. This is an important turning point in the project’s evolution. A partnership between contractors WilMen and Suffolk oversees the project.

“Today is an exceptional day. A vision has truly become a reality as we placed the final beam atop this new property,” said Hard Rock International Chairman and Seminole Gaming CEO Jim Allen. “I thank everyone involved in this project, from the designers and engineers to the day-to-day laborers that are showing the world what the Seminole Tribe is truly about, unconquered vision, unparalleled service and unlimited future.”

Community Involvement

The beam was transported to the Seminole Casino Brighton, allowing team members to sign it and share in the celebration. Onsite construction teams also had the chance to leave their signatures, symbolizing their individual contributions to the project.

“Today’s ceremony marks a special moment for the Seminole Tribe of Florida and the Brighton Seminole Reservation. We can’t wait to open our doors. The new casino and hotel complex is expected to increase the number of tourists to the region, which is very important,” said Seminole Brighton Bay Hotel and Casino GM Marty Johns.
