Significant alterations to the Board of Directors have been announced by Latin American gambling operator Codere Online in the wake of the June 24 Annual General Meeting (AGM). During the meeting, more than twenty-one agenda items were discussed, and three new members were appointed to the Board for initial one-year tenure.
In lieu of Patrick Ramsey, Michal Elimelech, and Laurent Teitgen, Gabriel Saenz de Buruaga, Taavi Davies, and Claude Noesen have been named Directors. Claude Noesen is going to join the Audit Committee, which is headed by Borja Fernández and includes Daniel Valdez as a member. Mark Dunn, the chairman of the Compliance Committee, will welcome Taavi Davies.
Leadership and Future Vision
Gonzaga Higuero, CEO of Codere Group, was re-appointed as a Director and will also serve as Chairman of the Board. Higuero expressed enthusiasm about the new appointments, stating, “We welcome these new additions to the Board and look forward to working with them to build upon the significant progress achieved by the company in recent years.”
He also extended his appreciation to Patrick Ramsey for his contributions, saying, “I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to Pat for his valuable contribution and dedication as Chairman since Codere Online went public in 2021. I am excited that he will be joining me on the Board of our parent company, Codere New Topco, following its recently announced recapitalization.”
Codere Online launched in 2014 as part of the casino operator Codere Group and currently operates in Spain and Latin American markets. The company originally announced the creation of its Board of Directors with eight members in February 2022.
