The permanent Hard Rock Casino Rockford will open this summer, according to a statement released by Hard Rock International. Officially opening on August 29, 2024, at 7801 E. State Street, Rockford, the new venue will be operating from a temporary facility at 610 N. Bell School Road since November 2021. A star-studded Guitar Smash will be part of the ceremonial inauguration, carrying on the illustrious Hard Rock legacy.
The first guests are welcomed to the brand-new gaming and entertainment center at 3 PM, when the celebrations get underway. The site boasts a large gaming, entertainment, and hospitality complex spanning over 175,000 square feet.
Exciting Features and Attractions
Hard Rock Casino Rockford is set to offer a wide array of gaming options. The casino floor will host 50 live table games, a sportsbook, and a poker room, along with nearly 1,300 popular slot machines. The aim is to provide unforgettable experiences for all guests.
Beyond gaming, visitors can enjoy various amenities and attractions. These include the new Hard Rock Live entertainment venue, which spans 23,000 square feet and can accommodate up to 2,000 guests for events such as concerts. Additional features include a Rock Shop and several restaurants, offering diverse entertainment options.
Geno Iafrate, president of Hard Rock Casino Rockford, praised the efforts of the team that supported the casino at its temporary site. He expressed excitement about welcoming new employees to the permanent venue. “It’s been 30 years in the making for Rockford and the wait is over. We are excited to welcome guests to our house to showcase and expand the legendary Hard Rock brand,” Iafrate stated.
Jon Lucas, chief operating officer at Hard Rock International, also expressed his delight with the upcoming opening. He thanked the Illinois community and Rockford for embracing the Hard Rock brand. Lucas highlighted the significant economic impact, noting that the new casino will create hundreds of jobs and boost tourism in the area. He emphasized the importance of the new venue joining Hard Rock’s global portfolio of over 300 locations.
