Today, the winners of the Global Gaming Awards Asia-Pacific 2024 were revealed during a luncheon at the SiGMA Asia expo, hosted at the Conrad Manila in the Philippines. This prestigious event honors outstanding achievements in the gaming industry across various categories.
Event Manager Mariya Savova extended heartfelt congratulations to all the winners and nominees. “Congratulations to this year’s winners and to all those who were shortlisted, because as we always say, a nomination alone is still a fantastic achievement,” she remarked. Savova expressed gratitude to the attendees and supporters, highlighting the significance of the in-person event after two years of virtual ceremonies. “To see it come to life at last was a huge milestone for the event,” she added.
The Global Gaming Awards are held annually across three regions: Asia-Pacific, Americas, and EMEA. The Asia-Pacific shortlist was curated through meticulous research by Gambling Insider and Gaming America, alongside insights from industry experts and self-nominations from companies.
Manila’s Dynamic Gaming Market
Savova emphasized the Philippines’ growing prominence in the gaming sector. “The Philippines is now the most dynamic and innovative gaming market in Asia with developments in both the land-based and online verticals,” she noted. Hosting the awards in Manila on the second day of SiGMA Asia was a significant moment, met with enthusiastic industry response.
The judging panel for the Asia-Pacific awards consisted of over 30 senior executives with extensive regional experience. KPMG in the Crown Dependencies independently oversaw the voting process. Esteemed panelists included Betty Zhao of Aruze Gaming Global, Ken Jolly of Light & Wonder, Jaclyn Wood of Global Players Network, and Lucas Cai of Mohegan INSPIRE Entertainment Resort.
