With the announcement that Michel Groothuizen, the recently appointed chair of the Dutch regulator Kansspelautoriteit (KSA), would give the opening talk on the Pulse Stage on July 17, Clarion Gaming has secured a notable speaker for iGB L!VE. With effect from July 1, 2024, this will be Groothuizen’s first speech to the global igaming community upon his appointment.
Joining over 40 thought leaders and industry disruptors, Groothuizen will share his vision for the future of igaming and the affiliate business. Groothuizen, who founded the KSA in 2012 while serving as policy director in the ministry of justice and security, takes on his new role during a challenging time. The Dutch regulator has faced criticism for being “heavy-handed” and “unapproachable.” At iGB L!VE, Groothuizen will outline how he plans to address these challenges and ensure safer gambling.

The event will host over 300 exhibitors and sponsors, occupying more than 21,000 square meters, a 35% increase from 2023. This expansion underscores the event’s commitment to fostering business opportunities and delivering industry-leading insights.
