Jessica Vierling has been crowned the champion of the 2024 World Series of Poker Circuit Commerce Casino $1,700 buy-in no-limit hold’em main event. With a massive field of 1,467 entries, the event more than doubled its $1 million guarantee, creating a prize pool of $2,222,505. Vierling claimed the top prize of $328,273 and her second WSOP Circuit gold ring after a fierce competition spanning three starting flights and two additional days of action.

Vierling, a German poker professional now based in Las Vegas, has made this victory her largest live tournament win to date. Previously, she earned $158,286 for a third-place finish at the 2022 WSOPC Choctaw main event. With this win, her total recorded cashes have surpassed the $1 million mark.

This event at The Commerce Casino and Hotel in Los Angeles, California, has seen four female players capture rings. Alongside Vierling, Christina Gollins won the ‘Housewarming’ kickoff event, Sally Stephens triumphed in the seniors event, and Kathy Chang secured a win in a H.O.R.S.E. tournament.

Vierling’s first ring victory was at the 2022 WSOPC Hard Rock Tulsa festival, where she won a $400 buy-in event and $13,641.

In heads-up play, Vierling had a significant lead with 50,400,000 chips against Christian Roberts’ 8,375,000. She quickly converted this lead into a victory. The final hand saw Roberts call a min-raise with J7 after Vierling opened with 63. The flop came 533, and Roberts check-raised to 1,000,000 after Vierling’s 400,000 bet. Vierling called with her trips. The turn brought the K, and Roberts bet 2,000,000, which Vierling called. The river was the A, prompting Roberts to move all-in for 6,100,000. Vierling called, winning the hand and the title. Roberts took home $218,807 for his second-place finish.
