Hustler Casino Live has officially confirmed that Tom Dwan, Ethan ‘Rampage’ Yau, and Daniel ‘Jungleman’ Cates will be playing in the upcoming 2024 Million Dollar Game. This high-stakes poker event will take place at the Hustler Casino in Los Angeles from May 28-31, featuring $500/$1K stakes with a minimum buy-in of one million dollars.
Ryan Feldman, the showrunner and co-founder of Hustler Casino Live, expressed great enthusiasm about Tom Dwan’s return after his victory last year, where he won a record-breaking $3.1 million pot. Feldman remarked, “it was super important to get Tom Dwan in the Million Dollar Game. He was arguably the star of last year. On that last day, he won a $3.1 million pot, which of course broke the record for the largest pot on a poker broadcast. He won a lot of money and on the day that he played we had 58,000 people watching.”
Feldman continued to highlight Dwan’s rare appearances on live streams as a significant draw for viewers, describing his participation as “a special game.” He believes Dwan’s presence elevates the event, making it highly anticipated among poker fans.
Ethan ‘Rampage’ Yau, known for his viral poker moments and transparency about his poker journey, is another significant addition to the game. After his acclaimed bluff in the 2023 Million Dollar Game, Rampage has remained a popular figure at HCL. Feldman praised his appeal, noting, “Anytime Rampage plays in a big game on our show, it brings eyeballs. People love his story, his rise from low stakes to super high stakes.”
Daniel ‘Jungleman’ Cates will be making his debut at the Million Dollar Game. The event organizers have teased that Dwan, Cates, and Doug Polk will share the table at some point, promising a must-see event for poker enthusiasts.
The anticipation also extends to a possible return by Wesley Fei, last year’s high-stakes player who faced off against Dwan. Feldman commented on Fei’s current focus away from poker, suggesting, “If he wants to play, I’m sure he’ll reach out to me and ask. If he does, of course, I’d be happy to let him play one of the days because he was a star last year.”
