The 2024 Lucky Hearts Poker Open (LHPO) at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood wrapped up recently. It was Raminder Singh from Delray Beach, Florida, whp was crownder winner in the main event. Overcoming 1,188 competitors, Singh pocketed a whopping $486,353. His win came after a three-way deal was made.
Singh expressed his joy and surprise at his win. He admitted that big tournaments were not usually his thing due to work commitments. However, this time, encouraged by friends, he decided to participate. “I’ve been in good form, I’ve been playing well, I couldn’t miss this tournament,” Singh stated.
The LHPO’s final event boasted a massive final prize pool exceeding $3.8 million, surpassing the $2 million guarantee. A minimum of $5,900 was awarded to the last 149 spots. The final table results were impressive, with Dan Martin and Jesse Lonis securing the second and third places, respectively, as part of the three-way deal.
The tournament began on January 11 with the $600 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em opener, drawing 3,212 entries. The event exceeded the $1 million guarantee, creating a total prize pool over $1.6 million. Canadian player Kevin MacDonald claimed victory, earning $250,420.
Other wins included Javier Zarco from Spain and Alex Foxen from New York, with Steven Bennett from Florida also claiming a title.
The LHPO’s success sets the stage for the upcoming Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown. Scheduled from April 3 to 23, it features a $400 Deep Stack series opener with a $1 million guarantee and a $3,500 WPT Poker Showdown Championship with a $3 million guarantee.
