The World Series of Poker (WSOP) has announced the dates for the 2024 WSOP. The 55th edition is set to take the stage from May 28 to July 17, 2024. While the full lineup of tournaments is yet to be announced, one of the highlights, the WSOP $10,000 Main Event, will span from July 3 to July 17.
Following the exceptional turnout at the previous year’s event, including a record-breaking Main Event, the Series is returning to its Las Vegas Strip venues at Paris Las Vegas and Horseshoe.
Ty Stewart, SVP and Executive Director of the WSOP, expressed his excitement for the upcoming event. “2023 was a remarkable year for the WSOP and poker. Now, we’re gearing up for 2024, aiming to break more records and enhance the player experience. Get ready for the most spectacular event in poker history. Save the date and plan your vacations. We look forward to welcoming everyone to Vegas.”
The Main Event, always the crown jewel of the WSOP, will kick of with its first flight on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, continuing through two weeks until Wednesday, July 17. The event is coming off its largest-ever iteration, where Daniel Weinman bested over 10,043 players to claim a $12.1 million prize, marking it as the biggest Main Event in WSOP’s 54-year history.
Maintaining its traditional $10,000 buy-in, the tournament offers players four starting days, presumably on July 3-6. Late registration will also be available on Day 2abc (Sunday, July 7, 2024) and Day 2d (Monday, July 8, 2024).
The full 2024 WSOP schedule, including all event dates, will be released in early January, typically available by early February.
