Kings of Tallinn, the largest poker festival in Northern Europe, is gearing up for its 2024 return. The event, marking its tenth year, will be held from February 23 to March 3 at the Olympic Park Casino and Hilton Tallinn Park Hotel in Estonia’s capital. The festival promises over ten days of excitement with more than 50 tournaments. The highlight is the Main Event, featuring a guaranteed prize pool of €500,000.
The festival has gained fame among top poker players globally, drawing thousands annually. In 2023, the total prizes neared €2.2 million, with the Main Event alone contributing €673,400. Estonian player Priit Parmasto clinched the top spot last year, winning €97,400. The previous year saw Adam Kharman from Australia taking home €64,280 from the Main Event.
The Main Event this year, with a €1,100 buy-in, will run from March 1 to 5. Christer Larsson, OlyBet Group Poker Director, expressed high expectations: “The guaranteed prize pool is half a million euros, but hold onto your cards because we’re not just aiming to meet expectations—we’re on a mission to break our own record once again. Crushing the guarantee is our forte, and players will keep pushing for more, higher, and better. Previous years have proved that the Kings of Tallinn festival is recognised and respected among the world’s top players, but amateurs also enjoy it. We expect many participants in the coming events.”
Beyond the Main Event, the festival will offer diverse poker tournaments, including the High Roller, the Queens of Tallinn Special for women, and a special tournament celebrating Estonian Independence Day. A unique feature this year will be a celebrity tournament on February 27, where players can compete against renowned Estonian and Finnish celebrities.
Since its inception in 2015, Kings of Tallinn has steadily grown, expecting over a thousand players from over 30 countries this year, including renowned players from Finland, Sweden, and Estonia.
