The Venetian® Resort in Las Vegas is gearing up for a spectacular start to the new year with its DeepStack Extravaganza (NYE) poker tournament series. Slated to run from December 25 to January 7, the series boasts an impressive $1 million in guaranteed prize money across 19 events.
Highlighting the series is the $1,600 buy-in main event, offering a $400,000 guaranteed prize pool. The main event, starting on January 4, 2024, is the showpiece of the tournament. Players have the opportunity to participate in one of three starting flights from January 4-6. Those advancing will reconvene on January 7 to compete for the championship title.
The Venetian main event has a rich history. Now in its 13th edition, it has seen nearly 5,900 entries and has awarded over $19.6 million in total prize money across its previous 12 tournaments. Jon Turner, the tour’s top earner, has won a total of $737,858, with his winnings all stemming from two victorious runs at The Venetian.
Last year, in January 2023, Alan Mastic emerged as the champion in the Venetian main event. He bested a field of 560 entries, winning $131,746 in the $1,600 buy-in tournament.
Alongside the main event, the series also features the $300,000 guaranteed Mid-States Poker Tour (MSPT) main event, which has a $1,100 buy-in. This event, running from December 28-30, will also draw players from two starting flights before they battle it out for the title on New Year’s Eve.

The series promises to cater to a diverse range of poker enthusiasts, with buy-ins varying from $200 to $1,600, including the $1,100 MSPT event.
