Authentic Gaming, a prominent live casino content provider, has been given the green light by the Michigan Gaming Control Board to stream its casino table games. With this move, Authentic Gaming steps into the North American market, launching real-time content with live dealers from a studio located in Farmington Hills.
Michigan’s regulator has previously granted authorizations to two other live dealer gaming providers: Playtech in December 2021 and Evolution in July 2021. Now, with the addition of Authentic Gaming, these three major providers are poised to redefine the live dealer gaming landscape in the state.
Starting on October 5, 2023, Authentic Gaming rolled out select hybrid live/online games. Additionally, their content will be further distributed through partnerships. One notable collaboration is with the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community. Under the Golden Nugget brand, content delivery will be facilitated by the community’s platform provider, Golden Nugget Casino. Another significant alliance is with Rush Street Interactive, bringing Authentic Gaming’s content to Michigan players through the BetRivers brand, associated with the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians.
Speaking about the appeal and potential of live dealer games, MGCB Executive Director Henry Williams expressed, “Live dealer online casino table games offer an immersive and engaging gambling experience that combines the convenience of online gaming with the authenticity of the environment in a land-based casino. Players can enjoy the excitement of playing their favorite casino games with real dealers in real-time, all from the comfort of their home or wherever they may be.”
While traditional online casino games rely on computer-generated graphics and algorithms, live dealer games have gained popularity. These games feature human dealers and a live video stream, allowing players to watch the deal unfold in real-time. Such transparency, according to the Michigan Gaming Control Board, is essential for players who might doubt the fairness of online casino games.
As they make their mark in North America, Authentic Gaming is set to offer a variety of live dealer gaming choices like blackjack, punto banco, and roulette. Their authorization from Michigan’s regulator came after fulfilling the necessary internet gaming requirements and undergoing a thorough review by the regulatory staff.
