Betsson Group, a well-known worldwide sports betting and gaming operator, has reached a critical milestone by obtaining a license to operate in Serbia’s regulated gambling market. This is a watershed moment for the firm as it grows its footprint throughout Europe and reaches new consumers.
Betsson’s purchase of the Serbian license enables it to formally launch its online casino games under the famous Rizk brand. Betsson purchased Rizk, a subsidiary of Zecure Gaming, in 2020. The Serbian expansion is consistent with Betsson’s overall worldwide growth plan.
Betsson’s entry into the Serbian market expands the company’s position throughout Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia (CEECA). CEECA has emerged as a key revenue provider for Betsson, accounting for 43% of revenue in the second quarter of this year.
