Observant poker fans might have noticed the series’ name transition. Formerly branded as USCOOP, the inclusion of Ontario led to the rebranding to NACOOP. What to Expect?
PokerStars is still refining the final schedule. However, players can anticipate over 70 events. The total prize pool has risen to a guaranteed $7 million, up from the previous $4.5 million. On top of this, NACOOP Main Event winners can look forward to a 24 Karat Gold plated trophy.
The tournament accommodates various budgets, with buy-ins starting at $10 and extending up to $2,500 and beyond. For those seeking an entry route, $1 satellites are available, notably for the $300 NACOOP Main Event. Direct buy-ins are also an option.
Geographically, Michigan and New Jersey players, grouped in a shared player pool, can vie for a chunk of the $3 million USCOOP prizes. Pennsylvania’s PACOOP promises $2.5 million. Meanwhile, Ontario’s ONCOOP stands with a guarantee of $1.5 million, roughly equivalent to $2 million CAD.
