The 2023 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Online will officially be getting underway on Sunday. The tournament is hosted in partnership with GGPoker, known as the world’s largest poker room, promising an exciting competition and the chance for glory for poker enthusiasts worldwide.
The WSOP Online series began in 2020, quickly rising to prominence in the online poker world. It now carries the prestige of its parent tournament, with each new bracelet winner joining a long list of the poker world’s most successful and celebrated players.
This year, the tournament runs on GGPoker and GGPoker.CA from August 20 to October 2 and on WSOP.COM from September 10 to October 17. International participants have the chance to pursue official WSOP gold bracelets exclusively on GGPoker, while Ontario residents can compete on GGPoker.CA. U.S. residents in Nevada, New Jersey, Michigan, and Pennsylvania have their dedicated slate of tournaments on WSOP.COM. GGPoker and WSOP.COM will each be offering a total of 33 coveted WSOP gold bracelets, and GGPoker.CA will have eight more up for grabs.
Players of all levels can look forward to a diverse WSOP Online 2023 schedule, featuring a wide range of buy-ins and daily satellite events. Ty Stewart, Senior Vice President and Executive Director of the World Series of Poker, expressed his excitement about the tournament’s potential. “With record-smashing events and something for everyone, WSOP Online is quickly realizing its vision to be the premier annual online poker series,” said Stewart. “Bling is the thing, and we’ll be looking forward to welcoming new members to poker’s most exclusive club.”
Global poker star Daniel Negreanu is inviting players from around the world to join him at GGPoker during the upcoming WSOP Online tournament series. The GGPoker Global Ambassador, who already has six WSOP bracelets to his name, aims to compete in various bracelet events, including #7 $10 Mystery Millions $10M GTD, #10 $1,050 Beat The Pros Bounty NLH, and #12 $500 Mini Main Event NLH $2.5M GTD. Negreanu plans to livestream much of his play, allowing fans to follow his progress and cheer him on. Additionally, he will offer some of his action for sale through the GGPoker app.
“I cannot wait to get into WSOP Online 2023 and play for WSOP gold alongside thousands of other players,” said Negreanu. “I’ll be streaming a lot during the series and you’ll also be able to buy some of my action via GGPoker’s legendary integrated staking feature, so why not buckle in and ride along with me this WSOP Online?”
GGPoker’s Rush & Cash tables are also hosting a special promotion called Rush & Cash Double DNegs. The daily Rush & Cash Leaderboard will be doubled to $60K, and all cash drops at Rush & Cash tables where Negreanu or another GGTeam ambassador is playing will also be doubled, with cash drops of up to 1,200 big blinds up for grabs. Further details on Rush & Cash Double DNegs will be announced soon.
The domestic WSOP Online 2023 schedule kicks off with a $400 Series “Kick-off” No Limit Hold’em event.
