The 2023 World Series of Poker (WSOP) finished on July 18th, leaving behind a series of memorable moments, with the most eye-catching of course the Main Event win of David Weinman. The series held at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas, spread over 50 days, wrapped up with four final games.
Ryan Miller and Leonard August were the last ones standing in Event #91: $3,000 H.O.R.S.E. After playing head-to-head for a short while, Miller took the win, earning his second bracelet of the series.
In Event #93: $10,000 Short Deck Championship, online short deck pro Martin Nielsen won the top prize. A total of 106 players participated, including John Juanda, who many thought would win. Juanda, however, was the first to be eliminated.
Alex Keating scored big in Event #94: $5,000 No-Limit Hold ’em (8-Handed). Keating walked away with his first WSOP bracelet and a record-breaking cash prize of $701,688, the most he’s ever won in his career since he started playing in the WSOP in 2009.
Finally, in Event #95: $1,000 Super Turbo No-Limit Hold’em, Paul Berger came out on top. Berger, who was about to retire from poker for the summer, saw the tournament taking place and decided to join. He won his first WSOP bracelet and a cash prize of $212,645, which he said to be giving to charity.
