MGM Resorts International and Marriott International have joined forces in a strategic 20-year license arrangement aimed at redefining client experiences across the United States, in a breakthrough move that will redefine the hospitality landscape. The agreement will encourage Marriott customers to visit MGM properties while also creating a new brand, the “MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy,” which is set to debut in October with 17 beautiful MGM destinations.
Following the recent termination of their long-standing alliance with Hyatt, MGM Resorts has wisely picked Marriott International as its replacement partner, capitalizing on the latter’s global reach and significant presence. Marriott adds tremendous scale and impact to this unique initiative, with revenues surpassing $22.2 billion last year and an enormous network of 8,000 properties spanning 139 countries and territories. MGM CEO Bill Hornbuckle voiced his enthusiasm for the collaboration, citing Marriott’s large customer base and their previous excellent contact with The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.
The partnership will benefit members of both firms’ reward programs. MGM Rewards members will be able to link their accounts to Marriott Bonvoy, unlocking specific member advantages. Marriott Bonvoy members, on the other hand, will be able to earn and redeem points for stays at the enthralling MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy locations, broadening their travel options and enriching their experiences.
Marriott CEO Anthony Capuano expressed excitement about the expansion in room distribution, predicting a 2.4 percent gain on the Las Vegas Strip and other tempting U.S. destinations. MGM Resorts’ great properties will be seamlessly integrated onto Marriott channels, providing unprecedented benefits to their valued clientele.
Marriott and BetMGM have also entered into a loyalty marketing partnership to enhance the entertainment experience for their respective guests, taking collaboration to new heights. Marriott will become the only hotel loyalty program partner for BetMGM’s online gambling and sports betting brand in the United States and Canada, providing Marriott Bonvoy members with unique prospects.
Members of Marriott Bonvoy will be able to earn points on select BetMGM transactions and gain access to special games, experiences, and incentives through this creative relationship. As a result, BetMGM Rewards users will be able to transfer their BetMGM Rewards points into Marriott Bonvoy points, creating a completely robust rewards program.
Adam Greenblatt, CEO of BetMGM, expressed his excitement for the relationship, underlining the amazing benefits that BetMGM will provide Marriott Bonvoy members. The collaboration seeks to develop a unified omnichannel experience that introduces players and Marriott guests to a world of spectacular entertainment and rewards.
MGM Resorts and Marriott International’s strategic alliance is intended to usher in a new era of hospitality excellence, raising guest experiences to unprecedented heights. Travelers can expect to be immersed in a variety of opulent services, compelling entertainment, and a profusion of special incentives when the “MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy” brand takes center stage in October.
