Foxy Bingo, one of the most fun and respected bingo brands on the planet, is renowned for its Boomfox. And, because of its previous successes, Foxy Bingo has decided its time to bring the Boomfox back, bigger and better, and this time the activation includes playful online videos that bring European music alive in a unique way.
The Foxy Bingo online site will be the host of the work that has come about after the brand linked up with creative ad agency Neverland in a partnership that will bring the project to life. The intention is for foxiness to infiltrate the wild world of European music via a range of videos, which are sure to be well-received by players.
This isn’t a new relationship, as Foxy Bingo and Neverland worked together on the previous Boomfox activation, which saw the first hair salon of its type launched earlier this year. The totally unique hair salon exclusively offered mullet-style haircuts, with the project being brought to life in early 2023. The success of this promotion and its popularity is why Foxy Bingo have brought back the Boomfox so quickly, in conjunction with Neverland.
Essentially, the return of the Boomfox will see several music videos which cover Scandinavian metal, Eastern European Disco Aliens and Folk Singing Grannies. And some of these genres may sound more wack than others, but it’s when the furry Boomfox kicks in that things get really crazy. The level of craziness is sure to catch everyone’s attention, too.
Believe it or not, the trio of short online films were shot at the iconic Hackney Empire, with Blood Films’ Chris Kirtley the man in control of proceedings. And the plan is for the films to be running online and on social media for the foreseeable so everyone can see them and take in the content as intended.
Foxy Bingo and Neverland, the two primary parties involved in launching this latest version of Boomfox, are incredibly happy with the end result. Sara Jolly, Gala Bingo & Foxy Bingo head of brand, said, “ I think the Singing Grannies may be the unexpected hit of the summer.” While Noel Bunting, executive creative director at Neverland, commented, “Neverland’’ douze points go to Foxy Bingo.”
If the original Boomfox project is anything to go by, this latest launch will be a huge hit, especially as it’s neither Foxy Bingo’s nor Neverland’s first rodeo. They’ve already proven they know how to add comedic value to proceedings, and this is what people bought into last time and why Boomfox got the thumbs up from so many. And this time around, you could suggest there’s even more comedic value added.
What will be interesting is what Foxy Bingo and Neverland come up with next and how they push the boundaries further. Mullet-only hair salons and Singing Grannies are one thing, but there’s still plenty of scope to create something even crazier and wackier, and the more of that, the better it seems.
