PokerStars US has announced the inaugural Summer Series in Philadelphia. The event, taking place at the highly-regarded Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia, promises to bring an intense poker experience to local players. A look at the event, its key headliners and the full schedule below.
Series Details
Starting on August 24 and spanning three weekends until September 10, the Summer Series offers a variety of tournaments. Players can look forward to different buy-in options ranging from $80 to $2,200, catering to every level of play. In addition, seats can be won online via satellites on the PokerStars US platforms.
Jen Shahade, PokerStars Ambassador, shared her excitement: “I am super excited about PokerStars Summer Series in my hometown of Philadelphia. It’s great to see that there are so many ways to satellite in online at all buy-in levels, and I look forward to meeting many of the qualifiers on the felt. See you in September!”
Key Events
The first week (Aug 24-27) of the series will feature a $550 NLH event with a guaranteed $200,000. Other events in the week include a $330 NLH Turbo event and numerous $80 Turbo Satellites.
The second week (Aug 3-Sept 4) offers an $1,100 NLH event with an elevated guarantee of $300,000. Additional events for the week include another $330 NLH Turbo event and an $80 Satellite to PokerStars US COOP Main Event.
The grand finale (Sept 7-10) is set to feature a $2,200 NLH event with a staggering $500,000 guarantee. This week also includes a $300 Satellite to PokerStars- US COOP High Roller and a $330 NLH Turbo event.
