ComplianceOne Group, a renowned compliance provider, has strengthened its commitment to the Dutch market by becoming a member of the Netherlands Online Gambling Association (NOGA). This strategic step demonstrates ComplianceOne Group’s commitment to assisting the Dutch online gaming industry and working with key market stakeholders.
NOGA, which represents the interests of the country’s online gambling business, acts as a unified voice for licenced operators, suppliers, and other stakeholders. NOGA, which includes well-known companies like as Flutter, Entain, Kindred Group, and bet365, aspires to provide an appealing and secure online gambling environment in the Netherlands.
Since opening a dedicated Dutch office in January 2022, ComplianceOne Group has swiftly established itself as the go-to compliance solution for both operators and suppliers looking to expand into the Dutch market. Diligence in Gaming, a regulatory and operational compliance agency, developed a complete cooperation with operator Smart Gaming last year to support the launch of its betnation.nl brand.
Mike de Graaff, Head of Regulatory Services & Assurance at Diligence in Gaming, expressed the significance of joining NOGA, stating, “Membership of NOGA helps us better serve the operators and suppliers finding exciting new opportunities in the market. As the Dutch regulatory landscape continues to evolve, ComplianceOne Group is committed to providing comprehensive support to our partners.”
Peter-Paul de Goeij, NOGA’s Managing Director, welcomed ComplianceOne Group to the organization, emphasizing the need of strong compliance expertise in promoting a healthy, safe, and sustainable online gaming sector in the Netherlands. NOGA and its members will benefit from the Group’s significant experience in both regulatory and technological compliance.
Earlier this year, de Graaff highlighted the difficulties that operators were facing in the aftermath of the Dutch Gaming Authority’s update on the duty of care owed to players. He emphasised that approaching regulation as a tick-box exercise is insufficient, and he urged operators to prioritise a holistic and proactive approach to compliance.
