Citizen, a supplier of payment services, has announced a substantial addition to its senior leadership team. Dr. Toby Sucharov has been selected as the company’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO), a seasoned professional with vast expertise in the iGaming business. Sucharov offers a plethora of knowledge and insight to his new post, having worked with notable iGaming businesses such as William Hill and Playtech.
As Citizen’s CTO, Sucharov will use his skills to manage strategic processes and provide advise to support the company’s global expansion into new markets and collaborations. His hiring reaffirms Citizen’s commitment to utilizing technology to improve payment services for the online gambling industry.
Prior to joining Citizen, Sucharov worked at Playtech, a renowned gambling technology company. During his employment, he was the Head of UK Innovation as well as the Head of Games Platform as a Service (GPAS), which was in charge of handling billions of transactions annually. Furthermore, Sucharov was instrumental in optimizing automated sports pricing systems at William Hill.
Citizen has made a number of significant hires recently, including Sucharov. Sarah Ahle, the company’s new Head of Compliance, brings substantial experience from major organizations such as eBay and OpenPayd.
Citizen Co-Founder and CEO James Neville emphasized the significance of Sucharov’s appointment as the firm prepares for additional growth in the second half of the year. Neville emphasized the importance of strong leadership in promoting global expansion. Sucharov’s broad expertise and experience in the iGaming industry, he believes, make him a great fit for the post.
