Dreamscape Set to Redefine Luxury at Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino

Dreamscape Companies, the current owner of the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino, is set for a huge refurbishment at the end of this year. The overhaul follows the transition of the casino’s operations from its previous owner, Caesars Entertainment. Approximately 2,500 rooms, a vast casino floor, meeting and convention spaces spread over 220,000 square feet, the poolside, and general resort areas are all due for a facelift. New dining and beverage options will also be introduced as part of this renovation.

Historically, Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino has been a magnet for visitors, capturing the attention of industry heavyweights such as Caesars Entertainment and Dreamscape Companies. The sale of the casino and hotel from Caesars to Dreamscape occurred in 2019 for $516.3 million, a deal that initially kept the operations under Caesars’ control.

Dreamscape, however, shifted gears, deciding to take charge of the operations from the last quarter of 2023, requiring a revamp of the property. Dreamscape collaborates with acclaimed architectural and design firms for this undertaking. Fettle, Gianpiero, Gaglione Interior Design, Lifescapes International, and Marnell Architecture, the creators behind some of Las Vegas’ most notable locations, are joining the project.

Marnell Architecture, the creators of Rio’s original look, will spearhead the project, building on their previous work on landmarks like the Bellagio Las Vegas and Park MGM’s Eataly food hall.

Emphasizing the property’s luxury and class is at the heart of the refurbishment. Changes will be extensive, from the entrance drive and porte cochere to the pool area, all undergoing a complete transformation.

Dreamscape Founder Eric Birnbaum expressed his excitement about the project, stating, “The Rio has been an iconic property in Las Vegas for over two decades, and we are thrilled to be working with such a talented and experienced team to bring our vision for the property to life. We are confident that with the talent we have brought on board, from both an architectural and design element, we will create a new and differentiated experience for our guests to enjoy.”
