Player of the Year Leaderboard Makes a Comeback
The much-anticipated Player of the Year leaderboard will return at this year’s UK and Ireland Poker Tour (UKIPT), with intriguing rewards for the victors. The leaderboard’s reinstatement aims to recognize and reward players for their consistent success throughout the season. More points on the leaderboard directly correlates to greater event performance.
The top three finishers in the series will be awarded the following prizes at the series’ end in late 2023, with results from The Irish Open included:
First prize: A £15,000 package for UKIPT 2024, including £11,000 in live event credits and £4,000 in costs.
Second prize: £2,200 in live event credits for 2024.
Third place: £1,100 in live event credits for 2024.
Players that finish in the money in eligible UK and Ireland Poker Tour (UKIPT) events will gain significant points. To qualify, players must enter Multi-Table Tournaments with buy-ins more than £220/€220 (excluding satellites). The number of points awarded will be determined by the player’s final competition rating and the total number of entrants.
