Greentube Announces Three Significant Changes to Ski Challenge Esports Challenge

Greentube, the NOVOMATIC Digital Gaming and Entertainment business, has made significant game-changing changes to Ski Challenge, their internationally famous mobile esports experience.

A ranking system, in-game leaderboards, and additional customization items have been added to the recently released iOS and Android game, which lets users battle head-to-head in organized tournaments with real-money awards.

Players may now earn skill points by competing in races, propelling them to new heights by placing in one of four categories: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Master. In addition to ranking, players may make history by appearing on new time-based leaderboards that reveal which skiers truly rule the hill.

This latest update will also allow gamers to personalize their appearance by outfitting their avatar with new outfits and accessories. It has also been stated that new goods will be regularly added to the game.

Ski Challenge, based on Greentube’s first-ever game title from 1998, was created in partnership with Swiss-Ski, the Austrian Ski Federation, and the German Ski Federation, and has special downhill skiing routes.

Greentube’s  CFO/CGO, Michael Bauer, said:

“Unsurprisingly, this new and improved version of Ski Challenge has proven to be a huge hit with players old and new. It would have been remis of us not to continue its development post-launch considering so many people are enjoying the game.

“This trio of exciting updates adds an entirely new layer to the game that we are confident players will welcome and enjoy. On top of this new functionality, we will further develop additional features which will increase the competitive element between the players such as tournaments. Although the product is already really fun to play there’s a lot more to come in the future – so stay tuned and practice your skills.”
