Yury Filipchanka, Managing Director of Slotegrator, was interviewed by SiGMA Magazine. In the interview, he talked about how the iGaming industry has changed over 10 years and how the company manages to stay on-trend.
SiGMA publishes SiGMA Magazine twice a year, covering the remote gaming industry. While preparing the latest issue, the editorial team talked to Yury Filipchanka, Managing Director of Slotegrator. The company recently celebrated its 10th anniversary, and in this regard, the top manager told us what’s new in Slotegrator and revealed the company’s plans for 2022.
Tell us about Slotegrator. What makes you stand out from your competitors?
We innovate and we put our customers first. Slotegrator is a team of people that are dedicated to delivering products that adapt to the dynamic nature of iGaming. Also, we try to be involved in all aspects of the business: we deliver platform solutions, integrate games and payment systems, and help acquire licenses and certifications.
2012 – the year you were founded – was a revolutionary time for regulation in the iGaming industry, making your services invaluable. Ten years on, how does the land lie?
We’re happy to see how much bigger the industry is. Back in 2012, iGaming was a fledgling, niche business, and now it’s well-regulated and full of opportunities for further growth. Compliance is definitely a lot harder now, and the players are more demanding of the operators, expecting a huge choice of quality games, a multitude of payment methods, and high overall quality.
Tell us about your new product, Telegram Casino. What makes this so appealing to players?
It’s convenient. Plain and simple. Telegram Casino offers the same features as a traditional platform, but the UI is already familiar to the player, and it’s always very accessible. Launching your favorite game straight from your favorite messaging app is the best of both worlds!
Do the software solutions for crypto casinos differ from the standard online casinos?
Not at all. The only real difference is the payment solution. Crypto casinos need to support deposits and withdrawals in cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc. Some casinos base their platform entirely on blockchain, and offer only blockchain games, but technically, any casino that takes payments from a crypto wallet counts as a crypto casino. Our turnkey software is perfect for starting an online casino, especially with our Moneygrator solution, which integrates over 250 payment solutions, supporting both fiat and cryptocurrencies.
Looking back at 2021 – a fairly turbulent year for the industry – how did Slotegrator fare?
2021 was rough for everyone. Luckily, we’re part of a flexible, dynamic industry, and our company is full of fantastic team members, so despite the ups and downs, we had plenty to be thankful for at the end of the year.
Last year you launched the Slotegrator Academy. What do you hope to achieve through this?
Slotegrator Academy is our way of educating the iGaming community. Basically, we want to break down barriers between new operators and the success they’re looking for. Established operators looking for deeper insights can find those as well. Our vision is that through the YouTube channel — and the Academy section of our site — anyone can get up to speed on how the industry works and what’s trending.
What does 2022 hold for Slotegrator? Any plans in the pipeline you’d like to share with us?
We’re already getting a very positive response to Telegram Casino, so we’re looking forward to continued success in that area. Players and operators both seem to love it! And we’re planning to expand into new markets in Asia, Africa, and Latin America. We’ve also got some product innovations on the way, but I’m not ready to spoil the surprise just yet, so for now, I’ll just say to keep an eye out. It’s also our 10-year anniversary, so I’m sure we’ll find a way to celebrate.
