BetMGM, the joint venture between MGM Resorts and Entain, has announced the launch of its new Borgata Bingo app in New Jersey.
This comes after the BetMGM brand became the first operator to launch retail sports betting in the state of Maryland last week.
BetMGM launches Borgata Bingo
On Wednesday, the online operator BetMGM launched Borgata Bingo in the state of New Jersey, signaling the launch of the new online brand in the North American gambling market.
The app is currently available for download in New Jersey on iOS and Android devices as well as desktop platforms.
According to the announcement, Borgata Bingo gives players access to the first 75-ball real money online bingo product in the US, as well as to a host of exclusive slot games and jackpot prizes.
The announcement also revealed that Borgata Bingo is the first bingo product built exclusively for BetMGM by Entain and leverages Entain’s expertise and technology.
Vice President of Gaming at BetMGM, Matthew Sunderland said: “Borgata Bingo provides players with an engaging digital gaming experience – one that builds upon the fun of live, in-person bingo. We’re pleased to introduce this first-of-its-kind platform as we further expand the Borgata brand online.”
Borgata Bingo features both 75- and 90-ball bingo games as well as a full schedule of bingo programming. Players can play Slingo and slot games, including BetMGM’s exclusive networked progressive jackpot games, without ever leaving the Borgata Bingo app.
The Borgata Bingo app also features integration with MGM Resorts’ M life Rewards program. This means that Borgata Bingo players can build up points while playing on the new app and redeem them for real-world rewards at MGM Resorts properties, including those in Atlantic City and Las Vegas.
BetMGM in the US
With the launch of the Borgata Bingo product, BetMGM is continuing to expand its presence in the US online gambling market.
According to the announcement, BetMGM is currently the top online casino operator in New Jersey, with a reported 30% gross gaming revenue (GGR) market share in October.
The announcement also said that BetMGM is the leading online gaming operator in the United States, with an estimated 32% national GGR market share across its live markets: New Jersey, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Michigan.
At the time writing BetMGM offers legal online and land-based sports betting as well as online casino gaming in several states across the US.
BetMGM’s online sportsbook is currently operational in Arizona, Colorado, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Mississippi, New Jersey, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Washington DC, West Virginia, and Virginia.
Last week BetMGM also opened the first retail sportsbook in Maryland and is set to launch a mobile sportsbook once the market permits it.
The operator also offers legal online casino gaming in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.
While bingo is likely to bring in a fraction of what its online casino and sports betting products do, BetMGM will benefit from having the only regulated, real money game of its type for the time being.
