Leadership shifts are on the horizon at Aristocrat Interactive, with CEO Moti Malul set to leave in March 2026 and Dylan Slaney stepping into the role later this year. The update comes alongside another executive move, as Chief Corporate Affairs Officer Natalie Toohey departs after seven years.
Good to Know
Malul has been central to Aristocrat Interactive’s early chapter. After guiding NeoGames through its acquisition by Aristocrat, he led the integration and strategic planning that defined the company’s first 18 months. His time at the helm ends next March, though his successor has already been confirmed.
Dylan Slaney, who has run Light & Wonder’s iGaming division for the past seven years, will step into the CEO position on 3 November 2025. His move represents a reversal of the trend where Aristocrat talent had been heading in the opposite direction — toward Light & Wonder — a shift that even sparked a legal dispute over trade secrets still working its way through the courts. He had already announced his departure at Light & Wonder 9 months ago.
Alongside Malul’s exit, Aristocrat Interactive will also see a change in its corporate affairs leadership. Natalie Toohey has chosen to step down after seven years of service. Her successor, Barry French, has already started in the role, bringing more than three decades of experience across communications, technology, defence, and transport.
Aristocrat CEO and Managing Director Trevor Croker expressed his appreciation for both departing leaders while welcoming the new executives:
“As we begin a new fiscal year, I am pleased to share two leadership appointments that consolidate the strong progress we’ve achieved and will help Aristocrat accelerate delivery of our strategy. I am delighted to welcome leaders of the calibre of Dylan and Barry to the Aristocrat executive team. Both are values-led leaders with collaborative and customer-centric mindsets.
“I want to express my thanks to Moti for his leadership through a period in which we brought together multiple teams to create Aristocrat Interactive, put in place an ambitious Group growth plan and took foundational steps towards its delivery. I also want to thank Natalie for her outstanding contribution. Natalie transformed our Corporate Affairs and Investor Relations capabilities and impact globally, while deepening vital stakeholder relationships and playing an important role in the resilience and growth of the business over a sustained period.”
The leadership changes arrive as both Aristocrat and Light & Wonder continue to grow in competitive global markets. In July, Light & Wonder secured a vendor license in the UAE, following Aristocrat’s own success in October 2024. More recently, Aristocrat Interactive won a new iLottery contract from the Massachusetts State Lottery Commission, with the agreement scheduled to start in July 2026.
