Massachusetts Lottery Player Wins $4 Million Through Jackpocket App

A Massachusetts lottery player just hit a life-changing jackpot — and they did it without stepping into a store. The $4 million win came from a scratch-off ticket bought through Jackpocket, setting a new record for the digital lottery service.

Good to know

  • The winning ticket was for the $4,000,000 Monopoly Doubler game.
  • Jackpocket operates in 17 states, including Massachusetts.
  • The odds of hitting the $4 million prize were 1 in 3,780,000.

Jackpocket, a lottery courier app acquired by DraftKings for $750 million in 2024, confirmed the win earlier this week. The lucky player managed to overcome staggering odds to claim the grand prize on Tuesday.

Pete Sullivan, DraftKings’ Senior Vice President of Lottery, said:

“We’re thrilled to celebrate this win, which marks the largest scratch ticket prize ever won using Jackpocket. It’s an exciting milestone for our company and a testament to the enthusiasm our customers have shown for the scratch ticket feature, which offers another seamless way to participate in the lottery.”

How Jackpocket works

For those unfamiliar, Jackpocket allows players to purchase official state and national lottery tickets from their phone or computer. Once an order is placed, a physical ticket is purchased on the customer’s behalf, and winnings are credited directly to their account.

Currently, 17 states authorize Jackpocket and similar online lottery services. That reach has helped produce some big wins — more than $900 million in prizes since Jackpocket launched in 2013.
