Incentive Games is continuing its North American expansion, locking in another key market just weeks after debuting in Michigan. The game developer has now secured regulatory approval to operate in Ontario, one of Canada’s most active iGaming provinces.
Good to know
The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO), along with iGaming Ontario, officially licensed Incentive Games after the company passed a series of security checks and regulatory hurdles. That approval opens the door for Incentive to roll out its real-money content through its Incentive Studios arm.
The developer is no stranger to major partnerships, already working with Aristocrat Interactive and Light & Wonder. These partnerships help distribute its games to a broader audience in regulated markets.
John Gordon, CEO of Incentive Games, called the license a major step forward for the team:
“Ontario represents a huge opportunity for us, and securing this license is a proud moment for the whole team. It reinforces our dedication to meeting the highest standards while delivering compelling real-money content. We’re looking forward to building strong relationships in the region and continuing our momentum across regulated markets worldwide.”
The Ontario license comes shortly after the company’s entrance into Michigan, which marked its first iGaming launch on U.S. soil. Just weeks later, Incentive is deepening its North American presence with the Ontario announcement.
The company has described the continent as a “strategic focus,” and the pace of its regulatory approvals backs that up. With two major markets already in play, Incentive Games is laying the foundation for further rollouts across North America.
Ontario is known for its competitive iGaming landscape, but it’s also well-regulated, which makes it attractive to international developers. By meeting the standards set by AGCO and iGaming Ontario, Incentive is now positioned to compete alongside some of the industry’s biggest names.
