Carnival Corporation & plc is now officially part of the American Gaming Association (AGA), becoming the first cruise operator to join the organization. The move brings the cruise giant into closer alignment with the U.S. casino industry and highlights its ongoing focus on responsible gaming and regulatory compliance.
By joining the AGA, Carnival gains access to a wide network of casino operators, gaming suppliers, and policy experts, allowing it to deepen its knowledge and participate in shaping best practices across the gaming space.
Good to know
Marty Goldman, senior vice president of global gaming at Carnival Corporation, commented on the development, saying:
“Joining the American Gaming Association is an important step in advancing our industry leadership and ensuring we remain at the forefront of responsible gaming and regulatory best practices. This partnership opens new avenues for collaboration and knowledge-sharing that will directly benefit our guests, team members and the broader Carnival Corporation organization.”
The AGA welcomed the company with similar enthusiasm. Maureen Beddis, AGA’s senior vice president of membership and events, said:
“We’re thrilled to welcome Carnival Corporation to the American Gaming Association. As a global leader in leisure travel and entertainment, they not only bring a unique perspective to our membership but also deepen our network through longstanding partnerships with several existing AGA members.”
Beddis also noted that Carnival’s gaming offerings at sea align well with the AGA’s goals of promoting innovation and responsible gaming across the board.
Through its new membership, Carnival Corporation can now collaborate more closely with commercial and tribal casinos, sports betting operators, and online gaming firms. The benefits include exclusive access to webinars, regulatory research, compliance updates, and opportunities to engage in policy advocacy.
As a core operator member, Carnival also earns a voice in national industry conversations. Its leadership and team members can contribute to the future of gaming regulation, attend invite-only events, and use AGA resources to help shape responsible gaming strategies both on land and at sea.
The AGA emphasized that this partnership strengthens the collective impact of its members and helps push forward shared priorities in compliance, innovation, and guest safety.
