The World Series of Poker is doubling down on tropical poker madness. WSOP Paradise is returning to Atlantis Paradise Island this December, and it is bigger, bolder, and richer than ever. The 2024 edition will feature the Super Main Event with a jaw-dropping $60,000,000 guarantee—the largest live poker tournament guarantee in history.
Good to know
The countdown to WSOP Paradise 2024 has officially begun, and it is not holding back. For the third straight year, the Bahamas will become the hottest destination in poker—this time with more cash, more star power, and more can’t-miss events. Leading the charge is the Super Main Event Championship, a $25K buy-in tournament with an unprecedented $60 million prize pool. Last year, Yinan Zhou claimed $6 million and his first bracelet—this year, the stakes are even higher.
Ty Stewart, CEO of WSOP, summed it up perfectly: “They called us crazy last year for launching the Super Main Event with the biggest live tournament guarantee ever, so consider this a re-raise.”
The WSOP Paradise schedule is stacked. From the $2,500 Mystery Bounty opener on December 4 to the $250K Triton Invitational and the $10M-guaranteed GGMillion$, the series offers buy-ins and formats for every level of high-stakes player.
Triton’s presence means more elite competition, with pros rubbing shoulders with business moguls and celebrities. Events like the $100K Pot Limit Omaha and the $100K NLH Main Event add to the already loaded lineup curated jointly by WSOP and Triton Poker.
Andy Wong, CEO of Triton, said:
“WSOP Paradise is a truly exciting stop for us at Triton, and we’re proud to be part of it once again.”
GGPoker, as the exclusive satellite partner, is already running “Road to Paradise” qualifiers. Winners grab a $30K package that includes their $25K Super Main Event buy-in, hotel stay at Atlantis, meals, and other perks.
There is even a twist for Las Vegas: the player who busts on the bubble of the WSOP 2025 Main Event in Vegas will receive a free $30K WSOP Paradise package—turning heartbreak into a second chance.
Daniel Negreanu, GGPoker’s global ambassador, is all in and commented in the press release:
“Adding another $10,000,000 on top is freaking insane! WSOP is bringing the biggest high rollers and the best poker experience possible back to Paradise.”
For host venue Atlantis Paradise Island, the WSOP Paradise series has become a highlight of the gaming calendar. According to Joe Brunini, the resort’s Chief Gaming & Customer Development Officer, “With ever-growing prize pools — including a record-breaking $60 million guarantee for the Super Main Event — there’s truly nothing else like it.”
With big names, big money, and an island backdrop, WSOP Paradise is shaping up to be poker’s ultimate winter getaway—again.
