Pennsylvania hit a new monthly gaming record in May 2025, crossing $600 million in total revenue for the first time. According to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB), total gaming revenue reached $601.8 million—up 15.5% compared to the same month last year.

Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course took the top spot with $107.1 million in revenue, a 31.2% jump year-over-year. Valley Forge Casino followed closely, reporting $105.8 million for the month, growing 33% from the prior year. Both properties were the only ones to pass the $100 million mark in May.
Other strong performers included Parx Casino and Rivers Casino Philadelphia, which earned $59.1 million and $58.3 million respectively. While Parx posted a smaller 4.4% gain, Rivers saw a 14.5% increase from the same period last year.
Hollywood Casino at the Meadows also showed strong growth, generating $33.5 million in May for an 18% boost compared to 2024. On the other hand, Wind Creek Bethlehem and Rivers Casino Pittsburgh both saw slight declines, with revenue dropping by 1.9% and 1.6% respectively.
Retail slot machines brought in the most revenue at $224.9 million, up 5% year-over-year. iGaming slots, however, saw a much faster increase, growing nearly 40% to reach $177.2 million. Retail table games dropped slightly to $79.9 million, down 4.6%, but iGaming tables rose 17.8% to $52.9 million.
Sports betting continued its upward trend. Total handle reached nearly $655.4 million, which was 10.7% higher than last year. Online betting produced $56.4 million in revenue, while retail sportsbooks brought in the remaining $3 million.
Valley Forge Casino led in sports betting handle at $252.8 million and earned $28.4 million in revenue. Hollywood Casino at the Meadows followed with $168.9 million in handle and $15.7 million in revenue. Hollywood Casino York and Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course contributed $2.8 million and $2.6 million in sports betting revenue respectively.
Parx Casino reported the highest retail slot and table game earnings, with $34.5 million from slots (up 5.8%) and $18.3 million from table games (up 0.14%). For iGaming, Hollywood Casino at Penn National led all properties again with $90.1 million, followed by Valley Forge Casino Resort at $64.1 million.
