The Delano Hotel has officially transitioned to the W Las Vegas, marking its inclusion in the MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy. The rebranding, finalized on Wednesday, aligns with a long-term licensing agreement between MGM Resorts International and Marriott International, initially announced in 2023.
This non-gaming property, located at Mandalay Bay, now operates under Marriott’s renowned W Hotels brand. Its booking and reservation system has been fully integrated, and exterior signage has been updated to reflect its new identity.
A New Chapter for a Landmark Property
The W Las Vegas stands tall as a 41-story luxury hotel featuring 1,117 suites. Guests can enjoy two dining options, a serene spa, a vibrant beach club, and the Skyfall Lounge on the top floor, which offers sweeping views of the Las Vegas Strip.
Initially launched in 2003 as THEhotel, the property underwent its first transformation into The Delano less than a decade later. Now, as the W Las Vegas, it becomes one of 12 Las Vegas properties included in the MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy.
While no formal renovation plans have been disclosed, both MGM and Marriott have suggested the possibility of future enhancements. Such updates could elevate the guest experience even further, ensuring the hotel remains a standout destination on the Strip.
This rebranding signifies a deeper collaboration between MGM and Marriott, leveraging the strengths of both brands. The W Las Vegas now adds a touch of Marriott’s globally recognized luxury to MGM’s already impressive Las Vegas portfolio.
With its modern design and premium amenities, the W Las Vegas aims to attract travelers seeking a distinctive and upscale experience. The updated exterior signage symbolizes the property’s evolution and sets the stage for its future within this prestigious partnership.
