According to November casino revenue numbers released by the Illinois Gaming Board, the state’s total adjusted gross revenue from slot and table games was $152.9 million. The casino industry in the state has had another successful month.
With $115.4 million, slot machines brought in the most money, while table games provided about $37.4 million. With $43.3 million in revenue, or more than a quarter of Illinois’ total for the month, Rivers Casino once again made an impression.
Other notable performers included Hard Rock Casino Rockford, which reported $11.7 million in revenue for November. This marks a slight increase compared to its October earnings, reflecting steady growth since its permanent facility opened in August. Meanwhile, Bally’s Chicago, operating as a temporary casino, posted $9.7 million in revenue last month.
Bally’s is progressing on its permanent Chicago location, set to open by 2026. Once completed, the ambitious venue will feature 4,000 gaming positions, a 500-room hotel, a 3,000-seat theater, a sprawling exhibition hall, and 10 restaurants. This development promises to be a major attraction for both local and visiting gaming enthusiasts.
In addition to robust earnings, Illinois casinos made significant contributions to public funds. Nearly $48 million in taxes was paid last month, with $38.2 million directed to the state and $9.8 million allocated for local governments.
With its growing revenues and the promise of exciting new projects, Illinois’ gaming industry continues to thrive.
